Runners in the 2020 Homecoming 5k Run/Walk will practice physical distancing and participate virtually.
This year’s annual 5k will be a virtual run/walk with 50 percent of proceeds being donated to the SCSU Student Emergency Fund to help support St. Cloud State’s most vulnerable students.
Registration and Info
The virtual 5k is one of many Homecoming Events that will be moved online this year in response to COVID-19 so students, alumni and the campus community locally and around the world can continue to come together and celebrate their Huskies pride.
Registration is $20 and includes: online finisher certificate, online official race number, t-shirt and Blizzard gaiter.
Register by Sept. 21 to receive the t-shirt and gaiter in the mail the week of Homecoming (Oct. 13-17). Those registering between Sept. 22-Oct. 17 will receive their t-shirt and gaiter in the mail two weeks following the event.

What is a virtual 5k?
In a virtual run, you will run a 5k (or 3.1 miles) on your own between Oct. 12-25, making sure you follow social distancing guidelines. Map out a route wherever you are. Keep track of your time and submit your time online.
You can take a screenshot/photo of your time and race route using an app like Strava or Garmin, if you have that available, in case we run into any issues or need to verify your run. But that is not required. And, don’t forget to take a great selfie to include on a Facebook post.
There will be multiple ways to submit your run time and results will be compiled by Pickle Events. All results need to be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Oct. 25.
