Directed by Professor Brenda Wentworth, the set of six comedies focuses on word play, romance and Phillip Glass. The collection of brilliant short comedies takes you on a whirlwind tour-de-force of wit and wordplay. Wacky characters, sparkling repartee and inspired verbal dexterity create a world of disorientation and delight.
The performance is an evening of existential farce for anyone who has ever navigated a first date, experienced the fear of a blank page or questioned the meaning of life and the universe.
The plays include: “Sure Thing,” “Words, Words, Words,” “The Universal Language,” “Phillip Glass Buys a Loaf of Bread,” “The Philadelphia” and “Variations on the Death of Trotsky.”
Each play has a small cast of two to four characters. The entire cast of “All in the Timing” is made up of seven actors, each one performing in more than one role.
“All in the Timing” opens at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 23 on the Performing Arts Center Arena Stage. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Feb. 23-27 and 2 p.m. Feb. 28.
Parking is $3 after 6 p.m. Feb. 18-March 4 in the 4th Avenue Parking Ramp.
Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for non-St. Cloud State students and free with a St. Cloud State ID.
