St. Cloud State University students connected and interacted with over 130 of Minnesota’s largest employers on Jan. 27 during the 2023 Diversity Job and Internship Fair spread throughout the first and second floors of Atwood on campus.
St. Cloud State University students interacted with more than 120 businesses and organizations spread throughout the Atwood Ballroom on Jan. 25 during the 2023 Winter Involvement Fair (Sidestreet).
A new exhibit “Resonance of Floating Bodies by Joe Smith” opens Jan. 18 in the Kiehle Gallery on the St. Cloud State University campus.
The exhibit runs through Feb. 16 and explores the connections between the liminal spaces between objects being and non-being.
St. Cloud State University’s Center for Holocaust and Genocide Education (CHGE) has partnered with the Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas (JCRC) and Twin Cities PBS to bring a unique program to Central Minnesota. St. Cloud State will host an exclusive screening of the 2022 Ken Burns, Lynn Novick, and Sarah Botstein documentary series The U.S. and The Holocaust on campus in both English and Spanish throughout Jan. and Feb.
Screenings in English will occur on Jan. 23, Jan. 30 and Feb. 6, while Spanish screenings will run Jan. 24, Jan. 31 and Feb. 7. All film screenings will be shown in the Atwood Theatre starting at 6 p.m. and are free to members of campus and the public. These screenings will lead up to the annual Bryce Lecture at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 9 in the Miller Center Auditorium.
St. Cloud State University welcomed back faculty and staff following the winter break and for the start of spring semester the week of Jan. 2, including a Convocation address on Jan. 5 as St. Cloud State looks ahead to a successful spring semester to round out the academic year.

The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Celebration returns in 2023 with a multi-day, community celebration with the theme “Our Beloved Community: The Courage to Celebrate Diversity.”
The 11th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Community Celebration will take place Jan. 14-16 at the River’s Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud. The community event is led by St. Cloud State University and the City of St. Cloud in partnership with the community and area partners.
St. Cloud State University celebrated Fall 2022 graduates during five commencement ceremonies on Dec. 16.
St. Cloud State University welcomed a fresh blanket of snow on campus while celebrating winter and the holiday season with students, faculty, staff and the community on Dec. 7 during the first-ever Winter Festival held on Husky Plaza.
The Winter Festival featured glowing fire pits, hot cocoa, s’mores, food truck snacks, and swag as Huskies bundled up to connect with our Huskies community and St. Cloud State’s President Robbyn Wacker.
The third annual Student Success and Retention Summit was held on Nov. 30 in the Atwood Center Cascade Room. A large crowd of faculty and staff was on hand to hear about strides made in individualizing support to make students’ college experience more successful.
