Sodexo has begun their contract as the new St. Cloud State University on-campus dining provider, and exciting changes are already underway.
Husky Bites is a new quick service dining option in Atwood Memorial Center. The menu will include rotating favorites, and the campus community will have the chance to vote on future concepts and featured items.
Another Atwood addition will be Buffalo Wild Wings GO, which will open in the former Chik-Fil-A location in January. The ready-made version of the popular restaurant chain will offer wings, sauces, sides and more.
Casey Benton, general manager for Huskies Dining, is excited about what the new store can bring to campus. Benton, who has worked at Sodexo for 15 years, opened Sodexo’s first Buffalo Wild Wings GO at his previous institution.
“Buffalo Wild Wings is a fun brand, and they are very hands-on in trying to make it a success,” Benton said. “There will be flexibility around menu offerings and daily deals, and there will also be brand-new sauces to try. We hope we can tie into the Huskies Athletics gameday atmosphere and create more weekend traffic in Atwood.”
Einstein’s Bros Bagels, Red and Black Coffee Co. and 6th Street Market remain alternative dining options in Atwood. Benton is also excited about updated offerings in Garvey Commons and catering.

Dining Options at SCSU
Garvey Commons is your full-service dining hall serving chef prepared, seasonal menus every day. Featuring an entrée station, grill, deli, salad bar, pizza, pasta, desserts and more, this is one dining hall with something for all. Garvey is also a great spot to find a variety of dining events, your new favorite food or a snack throughout your day. Garvey Commons is open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4:30-7 p.m.
Einstein Bros. Bagels offers handcrafted hot and cold specialty coffee, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, baked goods and snacks to fuel your day. Located in Atwood Memorial Center, Einstein Bros. is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Husky Bites offers a quick service menu perfect for when you are on the go. Currently featuring build your own burritos and bowls and burger and chicken strip specials. Find it at Atwood Memorial Center or skip the line and order ahead on GrubHub for pickup Monday to Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and weekends 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Red&Black Coffee Co. is your campus coffee stop proudly serving up all your Starbucks favorite drinks. Whether you’re looking for your morning coffee or an afternoon Refresher, Red&Black Coffee is open for you in Atwood, Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
6th Street Market is your one stop shop to pick up everything you might need for your dorm room, lunch or snacks between classes or that pick-me up to get you through your afternoon slump. You’ll find everything from bottled beverages, energy drinks and snacks to freshly made sandwiches and salads. The 6th Street Market also carries dorm essentials like shower products and toothpaste, so you can find everything you need right on campus Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on weekends 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
