Campus cultural festivals will celebrate the culture, traditions and entertainment of two Asian nations Feb. 13, at St. Cloud State University.

The evening will feature “Chinese New Year” the Chinese Spring Festival put on by the Confucius Institute and “Chuc, Mung, Nam, Moi” (Happy New Year) the Vietnamese Cultural Night presented by the Vietnamese Student Association.
Vietnamese Cultural Night is 5:30-8 p.m. in the Atwood Ballroom. Admission is $8 for students and $10 for non-students and features a show and meal.
The show features student performances and songs. Attendees can also play lucky money games.
Chinese New Year begins with light refreshments at 4:30 p.m. in the Ritsche Auditorium. Performances of dance, song and more follow from 5-6:30 p.m.
The event features the Twin Cities Chinese Dance Center performing a fusion of contemporary and traditional Chinese styles. The Chinese Student and Scholars Association and Confucius Institute volunteers will also perform.
Admission to the Chinese New Year is free and open to the public.
Vietnamese Cultural Night is part of the cultural festivals series at St. Cloud State.
Cultural festivals are one way the university is providing a transformative educational experience for students to help prepare them to be global citizens at home, at work and in their communities. More than 1,000 students from 90-plus nations attend St. Cloud State, and cultural festivals give them an opportunity to share elements of their culture with the campus community.
