The Global Engagement Forum honored the late President Earl H. Potter III, who was dedicated to increasing internationalization at St. Cloud State University during his presidency.

St. Cloud State University celebrated global trade, education and engagement with its a Global Engagement Forum Nov. 18.

The event “Education, Trade and Diplomacy” is brought together international diplomats and St. Cloud State professors to discuss international education, international trade and diplomacy and honored the late St. Cloud State President Earl H. Potter III, who had a passion for international education and an impact on its growth at St. Cloud State.

The panel features Mexico Consul General Gerardo Guerrero, China Consul General Hong Lei, Spain Honorary Consul General Maria Antonia Calvo and St. Cloud State associate professor of political science and Latin American Studies Chair  Edward Greaves.

St. Cloud State political science Professor Linda Butenhoff moderated the panel.

Interim President Ashish Vaidya welcomed attendees to the forum and introduced a video of St. Cloud State partners from across the world sharing their remembrances of President Potter.
