HOMETOWN FOCUS — What is an art crawl? It is a community event in which various businesses host an artist for the duration of one month, while hosting the monthly reception on the same night at the same time resulting in an art crawl.
While attending college at St. Cloud State University, I interned at the Paramount Art District in St. Cloud and managed their art gallery. A few gallery managers including myself decided we wanted to try art crawls in our budding community. We did them monthly (much larger city, with artists everywhere). They have grown to something so successful that they are now only four times a year due to the size and what St. Germain Street can handle capacity wise.
