St. Cloud State Concert Choir and St. Cloud area high school choral ensembles present Choral Connections at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 30 in Ritsche Auditorium, Stewart Hall.
“Choral Connections, the title of the concert, is simply what the evening aims to provide; a way to connect various school ensembles through choral music performance,” said Matthew Ferrell, St. Cloud State director of choral activities.
This annual event offers singers an opportunity to intermingle various choral ensembles in the St. Cloud area.
“I’d like to impress the audience with the sheer number of students who participate in their school’s choral music program,” Ferrell said. “I believe we’ll have about 500 singers.”
The concert will include performances by St. Cloud Apollo High School, St. Cloud Cathedral High School, St. Cloud Tech High School, St. John’s Preparatory High School, Sartell High School, Youth Chorale of Central Minnesota’s Women’s Choir, and two St. Cloud State choirs, Concert Choir and Chamber Singers.
Tickets at the door are $5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors, and free with a valid St. Cloud State ID. A portion of ticket proceeds go toward scholarships for St. Cloud State music students.
Parking is $1.50 an hour in the 4th Avenue Parking Ramp.
