MONITICELLO TIMES — The NFL playoffs this season has been full of stories about touching stories like Millie Wall, the 99-year old Vikings fan who attended Minnesota’s playoff game against the Saints, and Phil Basser, who watched his beloved Eagles win the Super Bowl.
They weren’t the only ones with touching stories, of course, and one such story is from close to home. Shirley Lorenz Shanahan and Karen Rogstad Winger, octogenarian Minnesota expats who currently live in Southern California, were ecstatic when they heard the news that Minnesota would be hosting the Super Bowl this season.
