The Nepalese Student Association is holding its cultural night at 5 p.m. March 31 in Ritsche Auditorium with a dinner in Atwood Memorial Center Ballroom.
“Title is ‘UDAAN – A Flight to Nepal’,” said Puskal Pant, president of Nepalese Student Association, “We chose this theme to show why it is important to the audience to have at least a flight to Nepal in their lifetime showing the tradition, culture and capture beautiful views of Nepal.”
The night starts out with a performance in Ritsche Auditorium and ends with a dinner of authentic Nepalese cuisine in the Atwood Memorial Center Ballroom.
“This event is a great opportunity to experience Nepalese Culture, traditions, food and practices,” said Pant, “It is also one of the biggest platform to showcase your talents in case you are performing.”
Tickets for the event can be purchased at the kiosk in Atwood or at the door. For students, they are $8 at the kiosk and $9 at the door. For non-students, the tickets are $10.
“I would request all to attend this events with your friends and family and experience the one of the biggest cultural night of SCSU with performance and typical Nepalese food,” said Pant.
Cultural festivals are one way the university is providing a transformative educational experience for students to help prepare them to be global citizens at home, at work and in their communities. More than 1,000 students from about 90 nations attend St. Cloud State, and cultural festivals give them an opportunity to share elements of their culture with the campus community.
