The St. Cloud State unit moves south on 6th Avenue North, near Cathedral High School.

St. Cloud State delivered swag, hype, bling and promises at the Granite City Days parade June 23 in downtown St. Cloud.

The swag included branded flying discs, can cozies and bags.

The hype — blasted from a sound system staffed by KVSC 88.1 FM — celebrated the honored parade guests: men’s Huskies Hockey senior forward Robby Jackson (Alamaeda, California), Heather Weems, director of athletics, and Brett Larson, new coach of men’s Huskies Hockey.

The bling was the Penrose Cup, for men’s Huskies Hockey’s 2018 NCHC regular-season championship, and the 2018 NCAA D-II Wrestling Championship trophy.

The parade float promised a re-imagined Homecoming in Fall 2018 and Sesquicentennial events marking the school’s 150th anniversary (1869-2019).
