High school students are invited to discover St. Cloud State the weekend of Oct. 18-20 with opportunities to tour campus, spend a day as a music or theatre major or take part in Homecoming festivities.
Discover Red & Black is St. Cloud State’s premiere fall campus visit day for high school students. On Oct. 18-19 students are invited to come to campus to tour campus, explore programs and visit classrooms, residence halls and recreational facilities. On Oct. 20 Discover Red & Black Fan Fest gives prospective students a chance to tour campus, eat lunch and then cheer on Huskies Football as they take on Upper Iowa in the Homecoming game.
Coinciding with Discover Red & Black is a special event for high school students interested in music and theatre. Students can come to campus are invited to St. Cloud State University Oct. 18 to see what a typical day is like in the life of a theatre or music major.
Music students can meet instructors, experience music classes and rehearsals and take a private lesson. They’ll also meet St. Cloud State music students to learn about the program firsthand.
Students interested in theatre can come and work with faculty, visit our students and meet with students. Workshops include improvisation, performance and social change, acting for the camera and stage combat. Lunch and parking is provided. Theatre students will also be invited to attend a production of “The Revolutionists” at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18.
