The Big Sing Concert is the finale performance for the annual choral music festival featuring St. Cloud State students and area high school students.
Purchase tickets at the door for the concert 5 p.m. Jan. 26 in Ritsche Auditorium, Stewart Hall.
The guest conductor is Timothy Takach, a Minneapolis composer. Two of Takach’s works will be performed: “Crossroads” and “Afka Hooyo (Mother Tongue).”
Other concert selections include “Gamaya,” by Paul Rudoi and “Ride On, King Jesus” by John Wesley Work, Jr.

Performing will be Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Monticello High School Concert Choir, under the direction of Nathan Herfindahl, and the Big Sing Festival Chorus. The latter is a select choir of nearly 200 high school and collegiate choral musicians.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and students. The concert is free for those with an SCSU ID.
