St. Cloud State University’s School of Graduate Studies programs in Education are thriving as more students find the applied graduate programs an important tool in enhancing their leadership skills and advancing in their career.
Graduate programs in the College of Education and Learning Design are ranked 188th in the nation in the U.S. News and World Report’s 2023 Best Graduate School rankings list. St. Cloud State is one of five Minnesota schools ranked in the category.
Developing degrees that are ranked and recognized nationally is a part of the It’s Time framework. The ranking demonstrates the leadership and creativity in preparing education professionals. St. Cloud State is the third highest ranked institution for its education graduate programs in Minnesota, following only the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus and the University of St. Thomas.
“We are pleased to be one of few ranked programs in the State of Minnesota,” said Dr. Jennifer Mueller, dean of the College of Education and Learning Design. “The continued hard work and forward thinking of our amazing CoELD faculty and staff is meeting the education workforce needs of our state and beyond. We play a significant role in supporting equity of educational opportunity and this ranking shows the fruits of these efforts. I am very proud of our team.”
The College of Education and Learning Design offers two doctoral programs that prepare leaders for PK-12 and higher education institutions. The school also offers ten master’s degree programs, one post-master’s certificate, one specialist, twelve graduate certificates, and five licensure programs at the graduate level.
