The 56th annual Juried Student Exhibition opens with a reception at 1:30 p.m. April 19 in Kiehle Gallery in the Kiehle Visual Arts Center at St. Cloud State University.
The exhibition will be on display through April 28 featuring a dynamic range of 29 pieces by 23 School of the Arts student artists selected from 75 submissions.
The exhibition awards ceremony begins at 2:30 p.m. during the reception, where faculty will announce scholarship winners, including the College of Liberal Arts Dean’s purchase awards and juror’s choice awards.
Each year, the Art Department invites an outside juror to select artworks for the juried exhibition. The 2022 juror is Twin Cities-area artist and photographer, Pao Houa Her.
Her’s work is included in the Whitney Biennial 2022: Quiet As It’s Kept at the Whitney Museum of Art in New York and this summer the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis will open a solo exhibition of the artist’s work. Her is represented by Bockley Gallery in Minneapolis.
