Art vendors, food stands, children’s activities, musical performances and the Husky Express are features of the Lemonade Concert and Art Fair 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m. June 23 at St. Cloud State University.
The Lemonade Concert an Art Fair is an annual tradition at St. Cloud State and the start to St. Cloud’s Granite City Days festival. The event includes over 150 vendors spread throughout campus. This year the art fair is welcoming back many long-time vendors and new vendors who have never before displayed at the Lemonade Art Fair.
The Granite City Days Opening Ceremony is at 7 p.m. on the Atwood Mall and will feature the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra from 7:30-8:30 p.m.
“We are excited to host the 49th annual Lemonade Concert and Art Fair this June,” said Christa Hayes, Lemonade Concert and Art Fair co-organizer. “We’re happy to welcome back returning vendors, while we are also excited to feature many new vendors this year.”
The Great River Children’s Museum is returning to the fair with a variety of demonstrations and activities geared toward children. Husky Express, St. Cloud State’s lab experience will provide science lessons and demonstrations.
The Little Lemons Art Park will offer children’s art projects, craft projects, performance art and more. Paramount Arts District staff members will coordinate activities 11 a.m.-6 p.m., south of Stewart Hall.
The Department of Campus Involvement manages the Lemonade Concert and Art Fair, with sponsorship from the Central Minnesota Arts Board, via the state Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund. This year’s sponsors also include Leaf Filter Gutter Protection and Newport Healthcare.
