St. Cloud State University has been ranked as one of the top sports broadcasting schools in the nation, building onto the strong tradition of offering award-winning programs and opportunities for students.
St. Cloud State was recently ranked 11th on the Sportscasters Talent Agency of America (STAA)‘s Top 20 Sports Broadcast Schools list. STAA’s list of top sports broadcasting schools is measured on the level of quality instruction provided at institutions, the professional quality and offerings of broadcast opportunities for students, as well as involvement from alumni.
STAA annually recognizes schools and individuals in broadcasting, with multiple St. Cloud State students historically earning recognition. The most recent example is alumnus Sam Goetzinger ’22, who was recently recognized as one of the most outstanding collegiate radio and TV sports broadcasters in the nation in May.
