St. Cloud State University welcomed new and returning students to campus for the start of the 2022-23 academic year during Huskies First Four on Aug. 18-21.
Huskies First Four is a four-day experience that annually serves as a welcome and orientation to St. Cloud State for new incoming students before the start of fall semester.
Throughout Huskies First Four, students had a chance to meet new friends and have fun during their first days at St. Cloud State as they got to know campus, taking part in numerous events and gatherings while starting to explore what life at St. Cloud State is like. The days were packed with academic programming, socials, recreational activities, and more for students on campus and in the St. Cloud community.
After students and their families arrived on campus Aug. 18 to move into their residential halls, other experiences during the day included New Huskies Convocation, a Welcome to the Pack celebration, a commuter mixer, and a movie along with events in Atwood.
Activities resumed Aug. 19 with events throughout the morning, including drumming activities and mingling with therapy animals along with the Dean of Students. After taking part in event rotations and academic orientations in the afternoon, the night wrapped up with a comedy show, Atwood After Dark, and Huskies Athletics events.
Over the weekend, students had the opportunity to experience events like exploring campus, meet and greets, an ice cream social and other activities and events.
Huskies First Events will continue throughout the First Four Weeks and the First Four Months to help all new and returning students prepare for a successful year.
