St. Cloud State University honored and recognized retirees and administrative professionals on April 12 during a celebration held in the Atwood Memorial Center Ballroom.
The campus community came together to celebrate all the work that our retirees and administrative professionals team have done and continue to do for SCSU.
“I have a deep appreciation for the contributions you have made to ensure that the quality of our academic programs, our services and our facilities are the best they can possibly be,” SCSU President Robbyn Wacker said. “I hope that you know you have impacted students and the University and you will always be a part of our legacy and history of this University.”
The program began with opening remarks made by President Wacker and Vice President for Human Resources and Workplace Experience Renee Hiller followed by the acknowledgment of retirees with a certificate and a gift.
“You’ve been essential and resilient contributors to the University over the decades,” President Wacker said. “You’ve always been a part of meeting the needs of our students, our community, our business and education, and continue the tradition of being ready to move forward and to address all the changes that come at us as a higher education institution. Through all the changes, you were there.”
To conclude the celebration, an appreciation video for the administrative professionals was shared featuring messages from campus leaders followed by closing remarks from President Wacker thanking the administrative support team for all they do for SCSU.
“You are the individuals that in every moment and in every office and department demonstrate an incredible range of talents, skills, knowledge and abilities,” President Wacker said. “You help students, you help colleagues and you help keep this University running. We would be at a loss without you and your commitment.
“We see your work, we appreciate your work and because of you and how you care about people, programs and the significant responsibilities you take, St. Cloud State University will continue to provide fabulous access to education and learning opportunities and activities for all our students.”
