The St. Cloud State University Library, along with Great River Regional Library and other area institutions, are partnering with the Stearns History Museum to offer SCSU students and employees with a new opportunity to obtain a free week-long museum access pass.
The libraries at SCSU, St. Cloud Technical & Community College and the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University are teaming up with the Stearns History Museum and the Great River Regional Library to establish a first-of-its-kind initiative called the Stearns History Museum Access Pass, which allows free access to the museum for patrons at the participating libraries.
The Museum Access Pass is perfect for learners of all ages who want to unlock the treasures of the community’s past, with the project aimed to help the Stearns History Museum fulfill its mission of connecting people through the power of history and culture. This initiative supports the hands-on approach to research and high impact-learning opportunities described within SCSU’s It’s Time framework.
At SCSU, enrolled students and current and retired employees can visit the Circulation Desk in the SCSU Library to check out this Access Pass for up to seven days. The pass allows admission to one household or up to four people. The Access Pass, which must be returned to SCSU’s Circulation Desk during library hours, does not include admission to paid events or programs.
