St. Cloud State University’s biggest red and black celebration of the year, Homecoming 2023, takes place Oct. 2-7 with special events for students, families, prospective students, faculty and staff, alumni, community members and more.
The University is holding several events throughout the week to unite our Huskies on campus, reconnect with old friends, create new memories, relive the nostalgia of Homecoming, and celebrate what it means to be a Husky. Activities include athletic events, events for students and employees, alumni reunions, showings in the SCSU Planetarium, the #OurSCSU Gala, Homecoming in the Community Garden, Family and Friends Day, Husky Fest leading up to the SCSU Men’s Hockey game and more.
Homecoming 2023 officially kicks off with a Homecoming Kick-Off Event for students, faculty and staff at 11 a.m. on Oct. 4 with a campus-wide celebration featuring games, food and a day of fun. Campus offices and residence halls will also celebrate Husky Spirit Day while decorating their spaces to show off their Husky Pride.
Events resume Oct. 5 with tours of the Lewis House on campus, Planetarium showings and a Homecoming Bonfire on the grassy area next to Stearns Hall. On Oct. 6, Campus Recreation will be holding a Hidden Hockey Pucks event to begin the day, followed by a President’s Global Update with SCSU President Robbyn Wacker, the #OurSCSU Gala: A Celebration of Our Community, athletics events and more.
Oct. 7 is the busiest day of Homecoming weekend, featuring events such as SCSU Family and Friends Day, the 2023 SCSU Athletics Hall of Fame Ceremony, 5K Paws on the Pavement, Homecoming in the Community Garden, and Husky Fest outside of the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center leading up to the SCSU Men’s Hockey game against St. Thomas starting at 6 p.m.
