St. Cloud State University Campus Recreation invites all SCSU students to travel the country during the annual Spring Break Trip in 2024.
From February 29 to March 10, students can travel West to explore five national parks, including stops at the Cascade Mountain Range, Seattle, Pacific Coast, Redwoods, Golden Gate Bridge and more.
The cost of the trip is $600 and includes cost of transportation, lodging, meals and park passes. A deposit can be made for the trip by Nov. 24, with the full fee due by Jan. 20.
Campus Recreation annually holds this Spring Break Trip for students to give them an opportunity to explore and experience something different over spring break. In 2022, students, faculty and staff traveled over 10 states to six national parks with stops at Death Valley National Park, Hoover Dam, Seven Magic Mountains, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy horse Monument and more. In 2023, the Spring Break Trip included visiting a variety of hot springs, sand, mountains, deserts and more while again traveling over 10 states to six national parks.
“Spring Break trips are a fantastic way to meet new people, learn new skills and enjoy an activity in a safe and supportive environment,” said Calvin Diggs, Director of Campus Recreation. “Transportation, camping fees, food and select gear is included in the trip cost, making these trips an affordable experience for students. Spending time outside during Spring Break with OR will leave you ready to tackle the rest of the semester with new friends and an amazing experience under your belt.”
Students can register for the Spring Break Trip in 2024 by emailing Melissa Bates. Spaces are limited, so students are asked to register as soon as possible.
