Renee Hiller, St. Cloud State University’s Vice President for Human Resources and Workplace Experience, has been awarded the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) 2024 Distinguished Service Award.
This prestigious honor recognizes her exceptional leadership and significant contributions to CUPA-HR and the field of human resources in higher education.
“This Distinguished Service Award recognizes Renee’s outstanding leadership and commitment to advancing the field of Human Resources,” Interim President Larry Dietz said. “Her contributions are not only evident in her role at SCSU, but also in her dedication to her fellow HR professionals in higher education across the country.”
Throughout her career, Hiller has held numerous CUPA-HR leadership positions including Director of Membership and Chapter Engagement, Chair of the Midwest Region Board and Midwest Region representative on the National Board. She has also served on the Governance Task Force and Midwest Region Program committees.
CUPA-HR is dedicated to advancing human resources in higher education by providing the knowledge, resources, advocacy and connections to achieve organizational and workforce excellence. Serving more than 36,000 HR professionals and other campus leaders, CUPR-HR supports nearly 2,000 member institutions and organizations around the country and abroad.
“I believe in the value of professional associations, where members can share knowledge and support each other,” Renee Hiller said. “Engaging in lifelong learning through active participation in association activities is beneficial both personally and professionally. I am honored to contribute to CUPA-HR and I value how my involvement has greatly enhanced my work at St. Cloud State. As leaders, we support each other, our faculty and our staff to ensure we deliver the best experience for our students.”
In recognition of her achievements, CUPA-HR will make a $4,000 contribution to SCSU that will be used to further HR priorities related to workplace experience.
