Huskies Dining is committed to providing a student-centered experience for eating on campus, and they’ve made some exciting changes for the 2024-25 academic year.
The Garvey-To-Go program has been redesigned to offer a more convenient experience for diners. Meals can be selected by mobile order and picked up at Garvey Commons, creating a speedy service for Huskies on the go. You can also preorder meals and skip the line to pick up at Einstein’s Bros. Bagels, Erbert and Gerbert’s or Red & Black Coffee via the Boost Mobile App.
For those that prefer to dine in Garvey Commons, a new feature this year is a United Table station, featuring different international cuisine every day. Diners can discover a new favorite dish or taste a meal that reminds them of home.
“We’re excited to also showcase recipes from our associates, who are primarily international students,” said Michelle Jacobson, Huskies Dining General Manager. “The United Table station will allow students to share their cultures with each other through food, creating a delicious and enjoyable opportunity for strengthening connections between students.”
Student catering also has a revamped menu this semester, using student demand to choose the new menu items. Check out the Student Catering Showcase on Sept. 5 from 4-5 p.m. to sample the new menu.
And don’t miss the first Joy-Ful event of the year on Sept. 4, featuring the theme Cheer-Ful. The Garvey Commons takeover includes a special limited-edition menu and a celebration of School Spirt from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
“Special events such as Cheer-Ful break up the everyday monotony and brings a fun atmosphere into the dining hall with live music, giveaways and an opportunity to feature new recipes,” said Lisa Lawson, Marketing Director for Huskies Dining.
