The Department of Campus Involvement hosted the 37th annual Excellence in Leadership Awards banquet this weekend, recognizing 23 St. Cloud State University student leaders.
The annual banquet honors students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership at SCSU based on an evaluation of their academic commitment and leadership experiences. Students are considered for this honor by either being nominated by a faculty or staff or self-nominating.
The collection of 23 undergraduate and graduate students represented 16 different degree programs. Eryn Bloom, a double major in hydrology and earth sciences, earned the Dennis M. Thayer Award, which is given annually to the top scoring student in the Excellence in Leadership application process.
“The diversity of their backgrounds, experiences and programs of study paired with a shared passion for servitude and leadership are indicators of the successful impact they will have in their personal and professional endeavors as Husky alumni,” said Molly McCann, Director of Campus Involvement.
The nomination window for 2026 award winners will be announced in the fall.
