St. Cloud State University students were awarded with six Crystal Pillar Awards at the annual Student Production Awards in April.

“When our students are nominated or win awards, it’s a testament to their dedication of late night edits, long days during live productions and the resilience they showed in every step of the way,” said TV Studio Manager and UTVS Advisor Derrick Silvestri. “Their success is a reflection of their hard work and passion”.

SCSU had 16 student production nominations across 11 categories from the Upper Midwest Emmy Foundation.

“This past season I have grown so much and learned a lot about my passion for television,” said student Olivia Stephes. “Dedication and taking the opportunities that SCSU has offered is the reason winning this crystal pillar has been possible.”
