St. Cloud State University has been named to Phi Theta Kappa’s Transfer Honor Roll for the sixth straight year. The recognition reflects SCSU’s ongoing commitment to supporting transfer students.

“This distinction highlights our dedication to creating a welcoming and seamless transition experience for students, and we remain proud to champion student success at every step of their academic journey,” said Mike Coonen, director of transfer partnerships and collaboration at SCSU.

SCSU is one of only two Minnesota State institutions to make the list, joined by Metro State University in St. Paul. St. Cloud State is one of three public universities in Minnesota and one of 251 colleges and universities nationwide to be honored by Phi Theta Kappa.

SCSU has earned Transfer Honor Roll recognition every year since 2020.

“These colleges are doing more than just opening doors — they’re walking students through them,” Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner, president and CEO of Phi Theta Kappa, said about the honorees. “Their commitment to creating clear, supportive pathways demonstrates what’s possible when student success is truly the priority.”

The Transfer Honor Roll is determined by 40 key metrics related to the support and success of transfer students, including college cost and financial aid, campus life for transfer students, admission practices and bachelor’s degree completion.
