Management professor Dr. Joyce Wang won the inaugural John B. Cullen Best Paper Award at the 2021 Midwest Academy of Management Conference this October.
She presented on her paper “Female-friendly boards in family firms” at the conference.
The John B. Cullen Best Paper Award launched at the 2021 conference and is designed to recognize authors whose work represents the original, creative and rigorous approaches to address complex challenges in the business world.
Wang is an assistant professor of Management and Entrepreneurship in the Herberger Business School with research interests in corporate governance, female leadership and emerging economies. She has publications in journals such as the “Journal of Business Ethics”, “Academy of Management Learning & Education” and “Asia Pacific Journal of Management”. She has a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Dr. Wang has taught at St. Cloud State since 2019 and primarily teaches students in Introduction to Professional Management.
