Faculty and staff joined together for an All-Campus Assembly focused on an individualized approach to student success in person and on Zoom as part of the Fall 2022 Convocation.
The All-Campus Assembly was an interactive session designed for all campus employees to learn what an individualized approach to student success looks like and a discussion on how each faculty or staff member can contribute to student success through their unique role.
Led by President Robbyn Wacker, Dr. Feng-Ling Johnson and Dr. Michele Mumm, the session explored strategies for building a sense of belonging that can be used by faculty members, staff members and fellow students.
The session highlighted how to integrate Diversity Equity and Inclusion throughout the individualized approach, how making sure students engage in their advising appointments leads to higher retention, and how to explore making policies and procedures easier for all students to navigate.
“Student success is truly everyone’s role on the campus … and one person can make a difference,” Johnson said.
