Nothing says back to school at St. Cloud State University like the annual Mainstreet involvement fair organized by the Department of Campus Involvement.
This year, St. Cloud State students will have the chance to connect with about 120 organizations and programs spread throughout campus on Sept. 11 during Mainstreet 2024. If you are looking to get involved on campus, this event is an excellent way to connect with the campus community.
Mainstreet provides students the opportunity to meet with student leaders, faculty and staff, and learn more about student organizations, departments and services on campus, and community organizations.
Getting involved in student organizations can help you make friends, learn about exciting on campus events, and enhance your college experience.
Along with Mainstreet, students also have the opportunity to attend Sidestreet each spring, which is organized by the Department of Campus Involvement and occurs annually on campus at the start of spring semester.
If joining a student organization isn’t right for you, there are other ways to get involved in the campus community.
- Find an opportunity to volunteer on or off campus and participate in the annual Days of Caring event to help give back to our community.
- Get a jump start on your career while staying on campus and earning a paycheck by becoming a work study. An on-campus job allows you to build your résumé with work experience, learn new skills and network with SCSU professionals.
- Join a fraternity or sorority! St. Cloud State University is home to four fraternities and three sororities that engage and develop students and our campus and surrounding community through the core values of scholarship, leadership and service.
- Come hang out in the Underground, where you can enjoy bowling, pool, and other activities right on the campus.
- The Student Recreation Center offers a chance to get moving and learn new skills. You can rent outdoor gear, join sports clubs, or attend fun events like S’mores Night!
- Attend athletics events to cheer on your fellow students. Huskies Athletics is home to NCAA Division I and II teams with a rich history of success.
Not sure where to find information about upcoming events? Check Huskies Connect for more information about fun events on campus throughout the academic year.
