Every year, SCSU students take the stage to share their culture and art with the St. Cloud community. Journey Across the World has delighted and educated the community since it began 4 years ago, representing some of the various cultures of the SCSU student body.
The event, presented by SCSU and the City of St. Cloud, showcases the diverse cultures of St. Cloud through song, dance and other lively artistic performances by SCSU students and St. Cloud community members.
This year, Journey Across the World will take place on Monday, September 30 at the Paramount Center for the Arts in downtown St. Cloud.
Come take a journey across the world without leaving your seat! More than 20 cultures will be represented through arts and music. Past years have included performances representing cultures from Korea, India, Pakistan, Laos, Somalia and Latin America, among many others.
The event will begin with opening remarks from SCSU Interim President Larry Dietz and Associate Vice President of Global Engagement and Multicultural Student Services Shahzad Ahmad, as well as St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis, who has been a strong supporter of the event since its inception.
Tickets can be purchased through the Paramount Center box office. Current SCSU students can receive one free ticket by showing their student ID, and transportation will be provided from the SCSU Atwood Center to the event.
