St. Cloud Times – Writers, prospective writers, educators and more will again gather for the annual June 15-18 at St. Cloud State University’s Mississippi River Creative Writing Workshop.
The workshop features presentations from published authors, writing exercises, question-and-answer sessions and discussions.
Meredith Penrod, who graduated in December from St. Cloud State, has attended the conference twice. The aspiring fiction writer (“As a child, I used to have a really overactive imagination”) said the experiences helped her.
“I got an understanding that to be successful with writing you have to really stay true to yourself as a storyteller,” she said.
