The exhibit is part of the 2014-15 Creative Arts Series, a set of events and performances both on and off campus in the School of the Arts’ four disciplines — art, music, theater and film.
The art department sponsors the Student Art Exhibit each spring to give students a chance to enter their works in a professional juried show. The School of the Arts purchases a portion of the student works to include in the art department’s collection, allowing students to learn about how to price works of art.
The opening ceremony includes an award ceremony in which awards were presented for the show and art department scholarships were presented.
The exhibit will be open until April 30. The gallery is open 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday.
