Winners announced for 2023 Miller Center Student Art Show

Winners of the 2023 Miller Center Student Art Show were announced Nov. 16 on the first floor of the James W. Miller Learning Resource Center at St. Cloud State University, with Aiden Spiess taking first place for her piece “Time?”

The Student Art Show, sponsored by the St. Cloud State Library and the Art Student Union, showcases juried student art and provides interested students the opportunity to organize, advertise and put on an art show.

SCSU students recognized during 57th annual Juried Student Exhibition reception

St. Cloud State University students were honored and recognized during an awards ceremony in the Kiehle Gallery in the Kiehle Visual Arts Center on April 18 to kick off the 57th annual Juried Student Exhibition.

The exhibition awards ceremony opened up the reception, with faculty announcing the Juror’s Choice Awards, the College of Liberal Arts Dean’s Purchase Awards and Dean’s Recognition Awards. To conclude the reception, scholarship winners were announced for students to use towards the 2023-24 academic school year.

Professor’s work on view in ‘The Contemporary Print’ exhibit at MIA

Professor Alexa Horochowski’s work “Vortex Drawing’ is on view as part of “The Contemporary Print: 20 Years at Highpoint Editions” exhibit at the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) through Jan. 9. “Vortex Drawing” maps the interaction between polystyrene cups (non-compostable detritus) and a wind vortex.
