St. Cloud State University students were honored earlier this month at the 2025 AAF Central Minnesota American Advertising Awards.

Jess Meichsner, who graduated in December, earned a judge’s choice and gold student award for her design work on SCSU’s student-produced Upper Mississippi Harvest Literary Magazine.

Junior Coen Johnson won a pair of gold student awards for two designs, The Little Prince Book Cover and Aero Club Poster.

Recent alumna Meren Parks and junior Samual Eisenschenk each earned silver student awards for their designs The Giantel Brand Identity Campaign and Out Book Cover. Johnson, Parks and Eisenschenk’s submissions were all produced during SCSU coursework.

“It was a pleasure to see our students receive these awards,” said Celi Merchant Monroe, an assistant professor of graphic design. “I am already very proud of their work and what they accomplish in class each week, so I am excited that they had this experience of having their talent recognized by the local creative community.”
