No. 1 Huskies Baseball (51-3) has earned a diamond double.
But Coach Pat Dolan ’92 and his team aren’t resting just yet.
St. Cloud State won four-straight games May 6-9 to win the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) baseball tournament in Sioux Falls. A week previous the Huskies won the NSIC league title with a 31-3 record.

St. Cloud State is the host and top seed for the NCAA D-II Central Region tournament May 15-17 at Faber Field, Municipal Athletic Complex, St. Cloud. The Huskies open play 10 a.m. May 15 against Henderson State University, Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Due to rain, tournament officials cancelled the May 14 games. KVSC 88.1 FM will broadcast St. Cloud State’s games. Declan Goff (St. Paul) and Jeremy Klein (Avon) are the tournament broadcast team. In-studio host is Ryan Sanders (Windsor, Colorado).
As the nation’s top-ranked team, the Huskies will play with targets on their backs. One team will advance to the eight-team NCAA D-II Championship May 23-30 in Cary, North Carolina.
Huskies Baseball capped its NSIC tournament run May 9 by beating Augustana College 10-5. The Huskies outscored opponents 25-10 and recorded two complete-game shutouts.
