St. Cloud State University is hosting an AI Town Hall on April 9 that will bring together educators, students, staff and regional partners to discuss the evolving role of artificial intelligence (AI) in education and society.
The event will begin in the Atwood Memorial Center Theatre at 11:30 a.m. and continue over lunch in Atwood’s Cascade Room until 1:30 p.m.
This open conversation will combine campus and community voices to explore how AI is already shaping practice, where uncertainties and tradeoffs exist, and what shared responsibilities institutions and communities hold moving forward.
The event will be emceed by Dave Blanchard, SCSU Director of Online and Distance Learning. Highlighted voices from across campus represent academic affairs, information technology, the university library, student government and the broader St. Cloud community.
“As the pace of change continues to challenge traditional assumptions, this event reflects a commitment to thoughtful, human-centered engagement with AI, grounded in learning, equity and collective responsibility,” Blanchard said.
