New Ulm Journal – Zach Hoffmann said that he did not expect his St. Cloud State baseball team to be carrying a 51-3 record to become the No. 1-ranked college baseball team in Division II this season.
“I did not expect this especially after losing some of our senior pitchers,” said Hoffmann, whose Huskies prepare to host the D-II Central Plain Regional on May 14-17 at Joe Faber Field. “And we lost some position players so I do not think that we expected to be this good.”
St. Cloud State will open its tourament play with sixth-seeded Henderson State at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
