The Huskies achieved the No. 1 ranking in the country, had two 20-plus-game winning streaks and finished with a remarkable 54-5 record.
But St. Cloud State failed to reach its ultimate goal of advancing to the Division II World Series in Cary, North Carolina, for the first time in school history after falling 8-7 in 10 innings in the Central Region Tournament championship game to Henderson State (Arkansas) on Sunday night at Joe Faber Field.
