St. Cloud Times – When Punnaro Koy arrived at St. Cloud State’s GenCyber Student Camp this week and was given his complimentary Chromebook laptop, he couldn’t help but be a little suspicious.
“Because this sponsored by the NSA, I assumed maybe they bugged them,” the 17-year-old from Minneapolis joked. “I didn’t ask them that question.”
The National Security Agency — yes, that NSA — is sponsoring a camp for high school students this week at SCSU. The camp, which around 30 students were selected to attend, aims to introduce students to the field of cybersecurity as malware and cyberattacks become more common.
