Prep sports: CHS graduate named Icebreakers coach

St. Cloud Times — Nick Thibault ’14 wants to be a college coach at some point and he thinks the next step toward that goal is to be a head high school coach.

He’s going to get that opportunity in two sports in the 2015-16 school year.

Thibault has been named the head coach of the St. Cloud Icebreakers girls hockey team. This fall, he also will be the Cathedral High School girls soccer head coach for the first time.

“This is something that I’ve been hoping for the last few years,” said Thibault, who earned an undergraduate degree in elective studies from St. Cloud State University in December. “I’ve been an assistant coach the last six years.”
