St. Cloud Times — Two of the St. Cloud State men’s hockey forwards are coming off junior hockey playoff titles and played key roles on their respective teams.
One of the players set a United States Hockey League goal-scoring record and was the league’s Rookie of the Year.
All four of the defensemen were captains on teams last season. And, for something different, two of the players are from Grand Forks, North Dakota, the home of the rival University of North Dakota.
St. Cloud State has nine freshmen on its roster and they are from five states.
