Two musicians will present “cmetq,” an electro-acoustic opera, at 7:30 p.m. March 2 in the Performing Arts Center’s Ruth Gant Recital Hall.

Presented by composer and new media artist Christopher Jette and baritone Nathan Krueger, “cmetq” features singing accompanied by fixed electronics and singing with life electronic processing. The opera examines the etiquette that encompasses communication technology. In addition, “cmetq” examines the human emotions tied to etiquette.
As a composer and artist, Jette explores the artistic possibilities at the intersection of human performers/creators and technological tools. He is the 2015-16 Interdisciplinary Grant Wood Fellow and visiting assistant professor of music at the University of Iowa.
Krueger is an assistant professor of voice at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He is also a versatile performer in both traditional and contemporary styles.
