Students present research in St. Paul

Seven St. Cloud State students presented their research results at a Minnesota Undergraduate Scholars event March 17 at the capitol in St. Paul.

In its third year, “Posters at St. Paul” is a partnership between the Minnesota State Colleges and University system (MnSCU) and the Minnesota Undergraduate Scholars Council. St. Cloud State participation is coordinated by the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.

The event highlights the impact of undergraduate research on student development, Minnesota and the global community.

Among those who saw the posters and visited with students were state workers and legislators.

Nearly 40 students from eight MnSCU schools presented 29 projects. Students earned the opportunity to present through a competitive application process.

St. Cloud State showcased four research projects:

 

Results from the Spring 2015 Student Survey and the Fall 2015 Omnibus Statewide Survey

Students: Josefina Abdullah, a senior sociology major from St. Cloud; and Megan Kalk, senior sociology and international relations major from St. Cloud.
