UTVS TV and Husky Productions combined to earn five Award of Merit nods and five first-place awards at the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association Eric Sevareid Awards Banquet April 9 in Bloomington, Minnesota.
The annual awards are named for Emmy- and Peabody-winning reporter, the late Eric Sevareid (1912-1992). Download the list of award winners (docx).

UTVS broadcasts are carried by Charter Communications on channel 21 and streamed live each weekday during the academic year. Derrick Silvestri ’06 is the UTVS advisor and studio manager.
Husky Productions (HP) manages broadcasts of Huskies Athletics events, including women’s and men’s Huskies Hockey games. HP broadcasts are sometimes carried by regional and national networks. Brian Stanley ’93 is executive producer of Husky Productions.
