SCSU athletics signs 5-year radio deal with Townsquare

St. Cloud State University sports are going to a new home, though some of the Huskies sports have called it home before.

The university’s athletic department and Learfield’s St. Cloud State Sports Properties have signed a five-year deal with Townsquare Media of St. Cloud. Townsquare’s stations include KZRV-FM, WJON-AM and KXSS-AM. KZRV is better known as “REV 96.7” and KXSS is better known as “The FAN.” The deal begins with the 2016-17 school year.

KZRV-FM will air the St. Cloud State men’s hockey broadcasts. For all but the 1998-99 season, Leighton Broadcasting had been the radio home for the Huskies men’s hockey team since 1990. The Huskies men’s hockey broadcasts had been on KCML-FM.
