La Crosse Tribune — Extrusions, creativity and non-traditional learning were just some of the topics discussed at Monday night’s West Salem School Board Meeting.
During the meeting, the board received a progress report on a board grant awarded to Heidi Ebert to purchase a 3D printer last year.
Ebert recently began teaching the Project and Inquiry class at the middle school. As part of her curriculum, she teaches her students to design objects using computer-aided design software.
Ebert said before she started teaching the class, she took a number of summer courses at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, as well as a number of other engineering schools to become better acquainted with the software and it’s intended purposes.
