Valerie Knopp
Valerie Knopp ’92 ’10 is the Minnesota Association of Financial Aid Administrators (MAFAA) 2016 Distinguished Service Award recipient for her years of service and contributions to the association.
She was presented with the award May 5 at the association’s spring conference.
“It’s a blessing to be recognized for doing something I’m so passionate about – helping students realize their dreams,” she said.
This isn’t the first time Knopp’s efforts have earned recognition. Last year, Knopp was named the Midwest Association of Student Employment Administrators’ Student Employment Administrator of the Year.
She is also the second consecutive St. Cloud State Financial Aid Office employee to earn the award MAFAA Distinguished Service Award. Financial Aid Director Mike Uran earned the award in 2015.
