SCSU grad to try out for Toronto in CWHL

St. Cloud Times — Vanessa Spataro ’16 has her degree in criminal justice, is trying to get hired to be police officer and is looking to play hockey at the professional level.

After being selected in the eighth round of the five-team Canadian Women’s Hockey League by the Toronto Furies, Spataro will continue to chase her hockey dream. Spataro, a forward and captain for the St. Cloud State women’s hockey team last season, heads to camp in the next few weeks to try to make Toronto’s roster.
