Moon festivals are timed to the full moon of mid-autumn, a nod to past traditions of moon worship and moon gazing. Themes vary by region and nation, but often center on gathering, thanksgiving and prayer. Many Chinese view the full moon as a symbol of prosperity, happiness and family reunion.
“Run Away to the Moon” will have food and performances, including performances by members of the new Binhai 2+2 finance degree program.
Chinese Students and Scholars Association is advised by Zengjun Peng, professor of mass communications.
